Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy explains what data Telery Limited (“we”) collects when you use the Card Game Builder (CGB) app and this website, and what we do with it. The short version: very little. CGB has no accounts, works offline, and never uploads your projects.
Who we are
Telery Limited is the data controller for the information described here.
- Company number: 10329160
- Registered office: 51 Cwm Road, Dyserth
- Email: mail@cardgamebuilder.com
The app
- CGB does not require an account or sign up, and it never sends your projects, images or other content anywhere. They stay on your own computer.
- The only network request the app makes is license activation. When you enter a license key, the app sends that key (along with an identifier for the CGB product) to Gumroad to check the purchase is genuine. Gumroad replies with the status of the purchase and the date it was made, which the app stores locally so it knows which versions your key covers. Nothing is sent unless you activate a key, and no other information about you or your computer is included in the request.
- Your license details are kept in the app’s own data folder on your machine. Uninstalling the app or deleting that folder removes them.
Purchases
License keys are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad collects the details needed to take your payment - name, email address and payment card details - under Gumroad’s privacy policy. We never see your payment details. Gumroad does show us, as the seller, the email address you used and the date of the purchase, which we use to answer support questions, to process refunds, and to keep the records the law requires us to keep.
This website
- We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves, to count page views and see which pages are popular. It is cookieless and does not collect any personal data or track you across sites, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
- Downloads are served from a content delivery network, whose access logs record the IP address and browser of each request. We use those logs only to count downloads.
- The website sets no cookies of its own.
If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your question and to keep a record of any support we’ve given you.
Sharing
We don’t sell your data, and we only share it with the services named above - Gumroad, for purchases, and our own hosting providers - to the extent needed to run the app and website.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email mail@cardgamebuilder.com and we’ll respond. If you’re unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version is always at cardgamebuilder.com/privacy.
